Pink opal is one of those gems that's really tricky to find in the perfect shade. More often than not, they tend to be either too light with a whitish hue or they come with too many light brown inclusions. I've come across this stone many times, but the quality and color often fall short of what I'm looking for. Finally, though, I've managed to find one that meets my standards and I'm enjoying its very gentle antique pink hue. It's truly pastel pink. :)
